Ian Sweeney
Back in the late 90s, Ian spent three years at London’s prestigious
Royal Central School of Speech and Drama studying set design and... puppetry.
After graduating (and coming to his senses) he got a job as copywriter
at AMV/BBBDO. Since then, he’s worked in agencies in London, Paris and
now Auckland. He’s worked on some pretty inspiring brands and attended
over 2,000 meetings. Although he sounds like a BBC news presenter,
he’s actually French. Which explains why he shrugs so much and can
cook such a mean crepe. He’s also worked as a television writer in
the UK for BBC Three, BBC Radio 4 and Channel 4. He still has a
soft spot for puppets. But not like that.
Dom Antelme
Also of French descent, Dom grew up in South Africa. He was expelled
from more schools in Durban than you’d think was possible.
Instead of studying he filled his time skateboarding, recording albums
with his band (7 in total) and designing flyers for his other band.
This creative outlet and thinking-on-our-feet attitude ultimately
lead to a career in advertising. But after playing sell-out tours of
South Africa Dom eventually quit the band and decided to move to
Auckland in the hope of one day meeting a half-French copywriter
who could make a decent crepe. He’s worked at Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB,
99 and True. In that time, he’s won his fair share of awards, pitches
and been hotboxed by Snoop Dogg.
